Our participation in financial sector initiatives
Crédit Mutuel actively contributes to financial sector initiatives in France and Europe.
These include the various specific working groups that European banking organizations such as the European Banking Federation (EBF) and the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB) have set up to help promote sustainable finance.
At the national level, Crédit Mutuel is actively involved in the work of the French Banking Federation (FBF) on climate risk prevention:
- through the Climate Commission, which every month brings together representatives of the risk and CSR departments of all French bankings, and any ad hoc commissions that deal with this topic;
- through the various working groups set up by the FBF on the subject (coal/hydrocarbon exposures, green taxonomy, integration of ESG risks in Pillar III reports, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive - CSRD, etc.).
Crédit Mutuel also contributes to the industry's responses to the numerous European-level consultations on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
